The riding of York-Simcoe has been in use on and off for several decades, coming and going as deemed appropriate by Elections Canada and encompassing a variety of geographical boundaries.

The name "York-Simcoe" first came into being for the years 1966-1976, but was abolished for the 1979 election.

It was resurrected again in the years 1987-1996, with the results of those elections shown at right.  The name was then again removed from use.

Finally, the York-Simcoe name was brought into use in 2004, with minior changes bringing it into its present form based on new electoral boundaries implemented for the General Election of 2015.  Scroll down to see the most recent results.
